Open Source: Is Oracle trying to become the new Microsoft?

Oracle has just announced that it will commercialize a new and cheaper version of Linux, the open source product first put on the market by Red Hat.

After a drop of 15% in the company share price, Red Hat Chief Executive Officer Larry Ellison has responded that Oracle's aim is to follow Microsoft behaviour in the software market.

This can open a big debate on Open Source; is this the way forward??? Bigger Corporations crashing the smaller ones, using the latter products??? Is what Oracle done acceptable from a legal point of view???
Digg!
