Cows Manure: powering the Internet
Since 2003, the Kasulu Internet Project in Tanzania has been using cow droppings to generate electricity in order to fuel the computers of a small community. The project aims to teach computers skills to refugees and provide them with Internet and e-mail facilities to make possible for them to contact friends and families.
All this was only achievable because of our precious cows as they provide the combustible to feed a 50 cubic metre gas digester.
